Senior User Experience Designer

As Senior UX Designer you will own the design vision for a product portfolio. Our portfolio structure empowers cross-functional Agile teams to tackle a broad range of related business problems, so you’ll truly become the expert on your area of the product. The UX team (comprised of UX Designers, UX Researchers and Visual Designers) collaborates closely with our Product Development, Engineering and Documentation teams to create solutions that satisfy company initiatives while delighting our users.

Skills:
You have 3+ years of professional UX or IA experience. You’ve taken on leadership roles in the past and you feel comfortable mentoring and providing direction to less experienced members of the team. You are skilled at collaborating with other functions to identify the best possible UX solution given a set of engineering limitations, user needs, and business goals. You’re an old hand with bread-and-butter design tools like OmniGraffle or InDesign, and the capabilities and limitations of the newest HTML, CSS, and JavaScript technologies. An interface design or enterprise software background is a big asset, though not required. You believe that the user’s experience can always be improved and you constantly reexamine the status quo in search of things to fix or enhance. When faced with a problem — be it a tough design challenge, a last-minute tech requirement change, or a coworker’s conflicting viewpoint — you are committed to finding a solution that works for everyone and you won’t rest until all issues are satisfactorily resolved. You’re comfortable communicating complex ideas visually, whether at the whiteboard or on a napkin. You are accustomed to working iteratively, testing ideas, challenging assumptions, and abandoning the occasional dead end.
